BAIN: First start of the season for the goalkeeper. Little to do but had to pick the ball out of the net after being left exposed by some sloppy defending in front of him. Distribution good. (6)

GAMBOA: Set up the second and third goals. Was lively and energetic going forward and he may well have done enough to hang onto the right-back berth for the time being. (8)

HENDRY: Failed to get a decent block in as Andre Mbuyi-Mutombo got the shot away that gave Thistle a brief lifeline. Had played relatively well up until that point although caught out on the ball at one point too in the second period. (6)

AJER: Committed himself to the original tackle which allowed Thistle to score. Could do with an experience centre-half beside him. Usual galloping runs forward at times. (6)

IZAGUIRRE: First start since resigning for the club and first game in four months. Worked the flank well and took the plaudits of the Celtic support at the whistle. (7)

JOHNSTON: Couldn’t be faulted for effort. Put in a shift before being replaced by Forrest in the second period. Couple of decent efforts although will feel as though he could have got himself on the scoresheet. (6)

ROGIC: Industrious shift as he worked hard to link up with Griffiths. Couple of decent efforts but footwork caused Thistle all manner of problems. One delightful chip over the top of Thistle defence but Mikey Johnstone couldn’t quite make the most of it. (7)

BROWN: Recipient of a poor challenge from Jack Storer. Thistle player received a yellow for the offence but could well have been a red. Looked a little leggy from the midweek game in Greece. (7)

NTCHAM: Clipped the crossbar with a dipping long-range effort. Looked a little tired after the midweek game in Greece. (7)

SINCLAIR: One curling effort that was just wide in the second period. Provided the goal from which Griffiths netted the opener and looked a little brighter than he has of late. (7)

GRIFFITHS: Delighted to get his 99th goal for the club but couldn’t add to it to finally take it to the century mark before being replaced. Had a more unorthodox role to play when he helped a steward stamp out a smoke bomb that had been lobbed onto the pitch. (7)

DEMBELE: Took over from Griffiths just after the hour mark and immediately drew a save from Bell with a rasping effort. Got Celtic back in front with his kneed goal before they had a chance to get too anxious about being pegged back. (7)

FORREST: Set up the third with a lay-off to Gamboa which the full-back was able to race on to. (6)

MCGREGOR: On for Ntcham for the final stages of the game as Celtic saw the game out. (5)
