IT is just me or is James Forrest getting better?

His goal against against Aberdeen was a thing of beauty.

I wasn't at the game, I did sneak down to the pub, and I found myself applauding the wee man - and not for the first time.

For me, he has been Celtic's best player for the past 18 months. It's between James and Callum McGregor for Player of the Year and I think James is just ahead.

It's been said so often that not only does he score spectacular goals, he gets them in the big games.

If you watch the best of James Forrest, it's some highlight reel.

He has scored in Champions League qualifiers, the winner on one occasion, against Rangers, semi-finals and in three League Cup finals, all of which Celtic have won.

This is a serious footballer.

And to think that at the start of last season he was behind Partick Roberts in the pecking order.

James works hard. Everyone at Celtic tells me this. He's not one to go about talking himself up, he's more the quiet type who is happy to be a Celt. What's not to love.

It was also great to see Tom Rogic looking like himself last Sunday.

He did really well to ride the challenge of Lewis Ferguson, a straight red card all day long, and avoid a serious injury.

The big Australian then gets on his feet and within a few seconds, guided the ball into the bottom corner with that left foot of his.

Rogic does like scoring at that end of Hampden.

Lenny is getting all his best players back for this final push. Nobody is going to stop Celtic now.
