Celtic fans were rightful joyful after watching their team stage a late comeback victory at Fir Park today.

However, it wasn't all smiles for the entire game against Motherwell.

Blair Spittal had the hosts in the lead with a terrific first-half strike, as the champions looked in danger of slipping further behind Rangers in the title race.

Adam Idah scored a brilliant brace after the break though, with Luis Palma adding a third with what was essentially the last kick of the game.

The 3-1 win maintains the two-point gap with Rangers out in front in the league table.

But while Idah and Palma's goals sparked wild celebrations, the travelling support made their displeasure clear at one of Brendan Rodgers' decisions in the second half.

Tomoki Iwata, who made his first appearance for the club since a defeat at Kilmarnock in early December, started the game in midfield alongside Callum McGregor and Matt O'Riley.

However, with a little over 10 minutes left on the clock, the Japanese player was substituted off in favour of Paulo Bernando.

A section of the Hoops fans clearly didn't agree with the manager's choice, with audible boos heard coming from the away stand.

It was picked up by Sky Sports commentator Ian Crocker, who said: "Some fans are booing, and are not happy that Tomoki Iwata has been taken off."

Meanwhile, Rodgers praised the impact of Idah after his double helped his side turn their game against Motherwell on its head, revealing that the decision to put the striker on at the break was tactical.

When asked if the change was because of an injury to Kyogo or a tactical move, Rodgers said: "Tactical.

“Kyogo had a little knock on his shoulder but we weren't getting anything. That's the reality."
