Former Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is a shock target for Japanese side Kashima Antlers after losing his first team spot at Santos.
The Colombian striker is the Brazilian club's highest-paid player even after accepting a pay cut to around half his original £40,000 a week salary after they were relegated to Serie B for the first time ever last year.
But he's scored just two goals in ten games for them this season and one of those was a penalty. He's recently lost his place to 34-year-old Argentinian striker Julio Furch.
And reports in Brazil suggested Morelos was offered to Russian club Krasnodar last month, but they rejected the proposal.
Now Japanese outfit Kashima Antlers have signified their interest in the 27-year-old. They are backed by the huge e-commerce company Mercari and managed by far-travelled Serbian boss Ranko Popovic.

Santos president Marcelo Teixeira recently complained about the initial contract Morelos was given by the previous regime at the club.
He said: "We could not terminate Alfredo Morelos' contract because it would have cost far too much money, therefore we renegotiated a new one.
"He is an athlete who earned and still earns very high amounts. He was initially given a very exaggerated contract."
But he's never appeared to have settled at Pele's old club and could be set for another major international move again soon.
