DUMBARTON defender Alan Lithgow last night signed a new one-year deal that will keep him at the club for the Irn-Bru First Division campaign.
Lithgow was a key part of the Dumbarton side that won promotion to Scotland's second tier via the play-offs last season.
Boss Alan Adamson said : "I am delighted that Alan has made the decision to stay with us. It's great news for the club"
Elsewhere, new Albion Rovers boss Todd Lumsden has started shaping his squad for his first season in the Cliftonhill hotseat by agreeing a deal with Elgin City striker Jason Crooks for the new Second Division campaign.
Steven Canning, Chris Fahey, Larry Acquah, Danny McKay and Paul Quinn have all left, with striker Robert Love signing for Stranraer.
