THE Madrid Masters has been scrapped because of the financial engulfing its banking sponsor.
Bankia needed a Spanish goverment bailout totalling 23billion euros last month.
"The Madrid Masters will be postponed until 2013 because of the economic situation," said a spokesman.
The tournament had been due to take place from Sept. 20-23.
