IAN Black today urged his Rangers team-mates to bounce back from their latest away day disappointment – by booking a cup semi-final spot.

Black was devastated when the Ibrox club failed to beat tiny Annan Athletic at Galabank in the Irn-Bru Third Division on Saturday.

Ally McCoist's side is still waiting to record a win on the road in the league this season after being held to a 0-0 scoreline by their part-time rivals Peterhead and Berwick Rangers

But midfielder Black wants Rangers to bury the memory of the game with a win over Queen of the South in the Ramsdens Cup quarter-final at Ibrox tomorrow.

He said: "It was not the best, but we can't afford to let it get to us or worry about it. We have got a big game tomorrow and we have to focus on that.

"We aren't starting games away from home the right way. We aren't matching teams physically. And we are finding that teams in the Third Division are physical.

"We will obviously look at what we have been doing wrong and try to rectify it in due course.

"But that is all for another day, for our next away game.

"Our most important task now is to make sure we can get a result tomorrow night against a team that is sure to be difficult to beat.

"They knocked Hibs, an SPL team, out in the last round of the League Cup so we certainly know that we are up against a good standard of opposition.

"The support the fans have been giving us away from home has been incredible. They have turned up in numbers.

"We have to give them something to cheer about, and also repay the manager for all the work he does."
