BRITISH title contender Iain Butcher will look to push his Lonsdale Belt ambitions when he fights Bulgarian Valentin Marinov at Ravenscraig a fortnight tonight, writes Bert Mitchell.
The Jerviston man is on a 10-fight card promoted by Lanarkshire's Prospect Boxing Promotions. Headlining is Sanquhar's Rhys Pagan, fighting Bulgarian Valentin Stoychev for the International Masters Title.
Prospect's Paul Graham said as they were waiting for confirmation of a date for purse bids for Butcher to fight for the title, they had brought Marinov in for the bout.
He added: "Marinov has been in with both Luke Wilton and Ryan Doyle, so his experience at this weight should make the fight interesting."
Tickets at £30 and £40 are available on 01224 632218.
