BRITISH light-welterweight champion Curtis Woodhouse has warned Willie Limond he plans to go to war in next month's double title clash at Braehead.

Woodhouse will be putting his Lonsdale belt on the line while Limond's Commonwealth 140lbs title will be up for grabs in the chief supporting bout for Ricky Burns' ring comeback on June 27.

The Englishman has huge respect for Limond, but he is determined not to be picked off by the Glaswegian's accurate counters.

Woodhouse said; "This will be a clash of two styles and the best way for me to prevail is to drag Willie into a war.

"If I allow him to get his boxing going, find his rhythm and pick me off with counters, it will make for a very long night for me.

"So I have to be looking to throw a lot of leather and really force Willie out of his comfort zone. For me it is a 50/50 fight though and I am just so glad I decided to overturn my decision to retire to come and fight Willie in Glasgow and experience the atmosphere of a big Glasgow show.

"I have heard so much about fight nights in Glasgow and June 27 can't come quickly enough."
