SCOTT HARRISON will make the next step on his comeback trail when he appears on the under card of Frank Warren's huge Wembley Arena bill on July 20.

The ex-WBO champion lost a disputed unanimous points decision for the WBO European title to Liam Walsh on April 20, but his father and trainer Peter has revealed that setback has made his son more determined to succeed.

Although the former featherweight world champion's opponent is yet to be confirmed, there could be a minor title up for grabs,

And Harrison Snr is sure the 35-year-old will have benefited hugely from his first outing against a truly world class opponent in almost eight years.

Peter Harrison said: "Scott will make the next step in his comeback in July and I am 100% confident he will benefit from the fight with Walsh.

"Scott has stayed in light training since the contest and he is very hungry to get back in the ring.

"We believe Scott beat Walsh and any one who has watched the tape of that fight has confirmed that thought.

"But the fact is the bout was Scott's first fight at that level in a good while and he will very much benefit from the 10 rounds he got from it."

The former world champion will continue his fightback at lightweight and his trainer has confirmed Harrison has never been hungrier to prove the doubters wrong.

Harrison Snr said: "Styles have changed a bit in boxing since Scott was world champion and you saw that with the way Walsh was prepared to mess about for the last two rounds without doing much.

"I think the one thing that counted against Scott was that Walsh used a lot of speech play to rile him and try and get under his skin.

"But all in all it was a good 10 rounds that has given us the foundations to lift him to the next level.

"It would be good if a title was up for grabs but all that really matters is more ring time, against creditable opposition, and a win at the end."
