TOMMY GILMOUR has warned Mitch Prince that he can't afford to let a possible revenge grudge match with Willie Limond distract him ahead of Monday night's St Andrew's club Scottish light-welterweight title fight with Stuart Green.

Prince has allowed his passions to run high in recent days by calling out Commonwealth boss Limond, in SportTimes last Saturday, for a revenge mission, after Limond won their mini-epic last summer, in a decision Prince is adamant should have gone his way.

With Limond setting the record straight via a right of reply in these pages yesterday, Gilmour has now warned Prince that he will have his work cut out to beat Green.

The St Andrew's supremo said: "Mitch has two itches to scratch in terms of his two losses to Stuart Green and, of course, Willie Limond. But before he can scratch one he must deal with the other and he will require every ounce of energy he has to beat Greeny.

"The last time they fought, Stuart claimed a victory by a margin of one round over the 10 session Scottish championship distance. I think it could be as close again on Monday night. If there is one per cent of a distraction in Mitch's head with the Limond thing then he could come a cropper."

Such has been Green's determination to prove that his previous victory over Prince on March 15, 2010, was no fluke, that the Scottish champion has taken himself south of the border for a week's sparring with some top English fight talent.

Also featuring are debutantes Michael McGurk who faces Matt Seawright at welterweight and Chris Liddell, fighting at super-bantamweight, against Anwar Alfadi.
