TOMMY GILMOUR believes the Scottish lightweight title fight between Milngavie's Richard Barclay and unbeaten Cambuslang kid Jordan McCorry is too close to call.

The duo will get it on at the business end of an impressive seven-fight bill being put on by Saltire Promotions at the Paisley Lagoon Leisure Centre tomorrow night which features the likes of British title challenger Kris Carslaw and former Commonwealth title hopeful Eddie Doyle.

There is also a second Scottish title up for grabs when Paisley puncher Craig Kelly faces Billy Campbell for the vacant Scottish welterweight title.

Gilmour said: "The Scottish lightweight title fight between Richard Barclay and Jordan McCorry is just too tough to pick. While Jordan has the unbeaten record, Richard has fought at a better level.

"Jordan is maybe more active, but Richard has the edge on experience and has come back after a lay-off with his batteries recharged. On top of that, when you have a Scottish title up for grabs, fighters always dig that bit deeper.

"So I am sure that will be the case at the Paisley Lagoon Centre tomorrow night."

When it comes to the second Scottish championship up for grabs, Gilmour reckons hometown advantage may help Kelly triumph over Campbell and earn revenge for a points defeat at the hands of the same foe in 2012.

Gilmour said: "Obviously Craig is a Paisley boy and boxing in front of his support is a plus for him. I also think with it going over 10 rounds, instead of the four they met over the last time, will suit Craig.

"But again you have to say it is another pick 'em affair."

Some tickets priced £30 are still available on the night at the door.

Meanwhile, Rhys Pagan takes on tough Bulgarian Valentin Stoychev for the International Masters Light-Middleweight Bronze title at Ravenscraig Sports Facility on February 28.
