Michal Zajkowski claimed his first shutout of the season as Braehead Clan hammered Dundee Stars 5-0.

The Polish goalie was on top form at the Braehead Arena on Thursday to help the Glasgow side secure their second win on the spin and leapfrog Manchester Storm back into fifth place in the Elite League standings.

The Purple Army were out in force for the sell out show and they were not to be disappointed.

Despite being without Lee Esders, Harry Quast and Corey Cowick, Clan stunned their Tayside host with a flurry of goals.

Daniel Ahsberg bagged the opener to give the hosts a first period lead, Matt Beca and skipper Matt Keith chipping in during the second.

Keith grabbed a second in the final period along with a Mike Hammond effort, sending Ryan Finnerty's men to Belfast on Friday in high spirits ahead of a meeting with the Giants.
