DEFENCEMAN Zach Sullivan has signed a new contract with Braehead Clan for what will be his fourth season at the club.

The 22-year-old arrived at the Braehead Arena in 2014 from the Basingstoke Bisons and has gone on to make almost 200 appearances for the Purple Army.

“It was an easy choice to return for another year and since I first arrived three years ago, the club has always built towards bigger and better things,” he said.

“We’ve got a huge and amazing fanbase so making the choice was a no-brainer for me.

“Playing in Braehead Arena with a sell-out crowd where you can’t hear yourself think on the bench because the fans are so loud is always great for me.

“It gives you a rush and makes you want to go out and play better and really pushed you on to strive and perform for the supporters.

“The players don’t know who the new coach is going to be, but he’ll be coming a great set-up and will be good to push on to the silverware we all desperately want.

“For me, working with someone new will be a good thing and I’m looking forward to it when we know who it’s going to be.”
