Braehead Clan secure two more signings ahead of new campaign

The latter has arrived after a season representing Elite League rivals Dundee Stars, while Buesa has earned a second term at the Braehead Arena after impressing during his debut campaign. 

Both players will be a part of the club's development apprentice scheme, joining Zach Sullivan in the club's Under-23 roster.

Defenceman Grieveson was an important part of Marc LeFebvre's side that reached the play-off finals last season, but admitted the passion of the Purple Army was a big draw for him.

“Playing at Braehead as an opposition was a good experience and you can tell the fans were awesome,” he said. “It’s a good move for me and I’m looking forward to it.

“The rivalries among the Scottish teams are already pretty strong and the Conference can make those rivalries even bigger.  It’ll be a tight conference and hopefully we can come out on top.

“When I spoke to the club, the decision to come to Braehead was pretty much a no brainer for me.  They’re keen to invest in young Brits, which is great to see and it comes across as a great set-up.

“It was attractive to me and drew me in.  The progress of players like Zach Sullivan and Jordan Buesa says a lot about what the club does for young Brits.

“Playing at Braehead as an opposition player was a good experience and you can tell the fans were awesome.  It’s a good move for me and I’m looking forward to it.”

Buesa, who became Clan's first ever apprentice when joining the club as a 17-year-old last summer, was delighted to earn a second season at the club.

He said: “I’ve loved my first year at Braehead and I learned a lot from the guys there, who gave me huge support and I wouldn’t be where I am now without them.

“My game overall has improved such as having the speed to keep up with them, thinking and reacting quicker and that’s definitely helped.

“Thinking about next year, my approach will be much the same as my first year, which is work hard, learn from new guys and really push on in my development."
