Celtic boss tells stars to snap on SPL blinkers green partY off until t-day

NEIL LENNON today warned his treble-chasing players: "Ignore the party."

The Celtic fans were in celebratory mood at Easter Road on Sunday after a week in which the Parkhead side effectively clinched the title following Rangers 10-point deduction for crashing into administration.

The 5-0 demolition of Hibs only sought to emphasise the gleeful nature of the Hoops support, but Lennon was keen to stress that there is no champagne chilling at Lennoxtown.

The Celtic manager has overseen his side taking a 17-point lead at the top of the table – but he has insisted that it is business as usual as far as he is concerned.

"It is different for fans," said Lennon.

"They don't turn up always having to fully concentrate on the football, they can enjoy themselves and carry on a bit.

"But it is totally different for the players. They are the professionals and they know what they have to do when they go out onto the park.

"It would have been easy for our guys to look at the 10-point deduction Rangers got last week and think that they could have taken their foot off the pedal.

"We tried to emphasise that we want them to keep going, to be the best that they can be this season and they gave us the answers we were looking for. They know what they've still got to do."

Celtic face Dunfermline tomorrow night before hosting Motherwell on Saturday and Lennon may make a few changes for the games as he attempts to keep his side on the winning trail.

Ki Sung-Yueng netted a fortunate goal at the weekend but the South Korean, along with Kris Commons, is desperate for a run in the side – something that Lennon has acknowledged.

"We've got a busy week now," he said. "We'll maybe freshen things up a bit and there are guys in there who are itching to play.

"It's fair to say the likes of Emilio (Izaguirre), Ki and Kris will all get a bit of game time, but we know that Dunfermline are down there fighting for their lives so it will be another big game for us."
