The call-to-arms came from former Hoops star and manager Davie Hay, who reckons this uncertain time is when fans must throw all their support behind propelling their own team to domestic and European success.
He is concerned uncertainty over Rangers' future will have a detrimental effect on season ticket renewals at Parkhead, which, in turn, could impact on the funds available for the manager to add the quality he needs to take his team to the next level.
And Hay urged the Celtic board to resist any temptation to hold fire on backing Lennon's plans.
He believes it is imperative everyone remembers that Rangers' problems have been caused by no-one but themselves.
But Hay warns, the fall-out can only be avoided at Parkhead if Celtic supporters stand rank and file behind their team.
