Airdrie's Excelsior Stadium has been chosen as the venue for the Scottish Cup fifth round tie between East Kilbride and Celtic, the Scottish Football Association has confirmed.
The governing body had originally selected Hamilton Academical’s New Douglas Park before the Premiership club announced they had “no intention” of hosting the game.
Non-league East Kilbride hit out at the original decision to host the game at Hamilton's ground, but were told it was in accordance with competition rules.
The match could not be held at the club's K-Park venue as its small 500 capacity was deemed inappropriate for such a high-profile match.
An SFA statement said: "Following discussions with East Kilbride FC, the Scottish FA Board have approved the Excelsior Stadium as the host venue for the William Hill Scottish Cup fifth-round match between East Kilbride and Celtic on Sunday, 7 February."
The League One side's ground has a capacity of 10,171, which is greater than New Douglas Park's capacity of 6,018.
