CELTIC manager Brendan Rodgers hopes to secure the loan signing of highly-rated Liverpool youngster Joe Gomez.
The 19-year-old was signed from Charlton by Rodgers last June for £3.5 million, but appears set to leave on loan after an injury-plagued campaign.
The defender ruptured his anterior ligament while with the England Under-21 team in October 2015 and was ruled out for the rest of the season.

Gomez is now close to a recovering and The Sun believes that Celtic are interested in taking him to Parkhead on a short-term deal.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants the centre-back to be part of his long-term vision at Anfield, but is open to letting him gain more first team experience elsewhere.

But Klopp would prefer that the versatile defender, who can play anywhere in a back four, is restricted to a maximum of six months away from the Premier League club.
Rodgers is believed to be actively searching for a new centre-back, as he is short of options due to the injuries of Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic.
