Celtic have launched their new pink and black away kit and revealed the new colour is inspired by 1967.

The strip is inspired by the colour of the 1967 European Cup final match ticket when the Hoops lifted their biggest silverware following a 2-1 win over Inter Milan.

The club have said their third away kit is designed to honour the remarkable achievement of the 'Lisbon Lions' team.

The strip also features the phrase  ‘A Club Like No Other’ as a timeless testimate to the famous team.

Scott Brown, Captain of Celtic said: “The 1967 team blazed a trail across Europe on their way to the final in Lisbon which to this day still remains one of the biggest highlights in this club’s illustrious history.

"It’s an inspiration to think we are following in the footsteps of legends like these and this great history makes Celtic such a special club.”

Celtic fans have already drawn criticism over the new strip and taken to Twitter to share their disappointment.
