BARCELONA superstar Andres Iniesta is out of his side’s Champions League trip to Celtic next month.

The 32-year-old was stretchered off after just 14 minutes of his side’s 3-2 weekend win at Valencia.

And he is expected to be missing for at least two months after suffering knee ligament damage.

That means he will definitely miss out on a return to Parkhead when the Hoops face Barca at the end of next month in a crucial Champions League showdown.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique was puzzled why Valencia’s Enzo Perez, who made the challenge on him, wasn’t even booked.

He said: “The worst thing was the injury to Andres in an incident that everyone on the bench could see very clearly.”

“It’s a clear incident in which we saw the player get injured, and tThere was no yellow card. We’ll see the severity of the injury but, yes, it’ll be weeks. It’s a serious one.”

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi was at the centre of a four-letter rant at Valencia fans after he converted the 94th-minute penalty that handed Barca victory at the Mestalla.

Bottles rained down on the Argentine and team-mate Luis Suarez as they left the pitch at full-time.

In the end neither of the two Barcelona players hit by objects was seriously hurt and neither was Paco Alcacer in an earlier incident which saw him when he was hit by a bag of sunflower seeds.

Barcelona signed him from Valencia this summer and it outraged Los Che fans who wanted him to stay and thought he would not get game-time at Barcelona. Valencia are facing action over the disorder.
