Celtic prospect Karamoko Dembele has been picked by Scotland Under-16 coach Brian McLaughlin in his 20-man squad for the upcoming UEFA Development Tournament.
Dembele, 13, appeared to have switched allegiances to England after making his debut for their Under-15 squad in a 5-3 victory over Turkey in December.
But he will join McLaughlin’s side which also includes fellow Celtic academy player David McKay, 15, who plays as a midfielder.
The last time the Under-16s were in action in the Victory Shield they
defeated Northern Ireland 2-0, drew 2-2 with Wales 2-2 before losing to
the Republic of Ireland 3-0.
There are 14 Performance School players involved for the matches
which will be played behind closed doors with Scotland facing Croatia,
Iceland and Austria.
