CELTIC striker Moussa Dembele has failed to earn a place in Didier Deschamps' France squad for matches against Luxembourg and Spain.

The 20-year-old has been in superb form during his debut season for the Hoops, scoring 32 goals in 45 games and topping the Ladbrokes Premiership scoring charts.

Dembele, who arrived in Glasgow from Fulham last summer for just £500,000, made his debut for the French Under-21 side last October.

He had been tipped for a senior call-up after scoring four times in four games for the youth side and being named French Young Player of the Year.

However, the Bhoys striker has found himself behind the likes of Atletico Madrid's Kevin Gameiro and Antoine Griezmann, Arsenal's Olivier Giroud and Monaco's uncapped star Kylian Mbappe in the pecking order.
