Leigh Griffiths’ body language since he has come back into the team following his public dressing down from Brendan Rodgers certainly doesn’t point to him being in the huff.

The striker does not have the look of someone sulking. He has looked bright, sharp and I am sure that he will be keen now in the remaining ten league games to underline what contribution he is capable of making.

I did wonder whether there was any chance that Brendan Rodgers might have started the game with both Griffiths and Moussa Dembele up front, and in actual fact the way that Rangers set out might have been suited to that.

Certainly, though, it has been a disappointing season on a personal level for Griffiths. I don’t think it is too late for him at Celtic and whatever has been said between him and the manager, it wouldn’t appear that there is any lingering irritation on either of their parts.

It is up to the striker himself now to show what he has got and prove that he is capable of taking on board what has been asked of him.
