GORDON (7) Plucked a Jamie Brandon cross out of the air in the first half, saved a speculative effort from Bjorn Johnsen in the second and then denied Malaury Martin brilliantly at the end.

GAMBOA (5) The Costa Rican right back started ahead of Mikael Lustig. Did well enough without really influencing the game. He made no impact going forward. Was replaced at half-time by Tom Rogic

SIMUNOVIC (7) Made a well-timed tackle on Bjorn Johnsen after 15 minutes with the American bearing down on the Celtic goal. Gave away a free-kick just outside his own area with a foul on the same player shortly after that. Made way for Kolo Toure late on.

BOYATA (6) Forced a fine save from Hearts keeper Viktor Noring in the 33rd minute after getting on the end of a Leigh Griffiths corner in the six yard box. Gave away a free-kick by needlessly bringing down Esmael Goncalves just before half-time. But he enjoyed another fine game.

TIERNEY (6) The teenage left-back tried his luck from long-range after 20 minutes and went agonisingly close to opening the scoring. Was the victim of a crude challenge by Prince Buaben which the Hearts player was booked for. Worked hard for the 90 minutes.

BROWN (7) Bossed the central midfield in his usual dominant fashion.

ARMSTRONG (6) Not as influential as he has been on many occasions this season. However, he still popped up and netted is side’s record-breaking 106th league goal in the 76th minute.

ROBERTS (7) Possibly the £12 million Manchester City winger’s last appearance for Celtic at Parkhead. He bowed out on a huge high with another sparkling display and was named Man of the Match. Set up Leigh Griffiths for the opening goal. “There’s only one Paddy Roberts,” chanted supporters who will be hoping he returns.

MCGREGOR (6) Preferred to Tom Rogic just off lone striker Leigh Griffiths. Forced a save from Noring in the 24th minute after making a powerful run. Put in a decent shift.

SINCLAIR (7) Showed exactly why he has bagged the PFA Scotland and William Hill Scottish Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year awards. Teed up Armstrong for the second goal of the day with a clever lay off.

GRIFFITHS (7) The prodigal son returned. The striker had mouthed off at his manager as he was substituted against Partick Thistle last week. But the pair patched things up and he retained his place. His the side netting with a free-kick in the 15th minute. Opened the scoring with a downward header in the 50th minute. Involved in his side's second goal.

Replacements

ROGIC (6) Took over from Gamboa at half-time. Busy.

TOURE (5) The Ivorian centre half replaced Simunovic. Produced a great block late on to ensure Celtic kept a clean sheet.

SVIATCHENKO (4) Took over from Armstrong. Carried out his duties professionally.
