Patrick Roberts has completed the paperwork ahead of his move to Celtic as he prepares for another season at Parkhead, with the deal between the two clubs just about concluded.

The 20-year-old has returned to the club in order to work under Brendan Rodgers for another year, with the player himself a major factor in Manchester City allowing him to return to Celtic.

Celtic have been in steady pursuit of the England under-20 internationalist throughout this summer.

The Hoops have paid a loan fee for the player and will also shoulder a significant percentage of Roberts' salary.

His parent club had wished him to go elsewhere after already having a stint at Celtic, but Roberts himself rebuffed interest from Southampton, Huddersfield, Nice and Genoa.

He will be in the squad following the international break and is expected to be fornally announced at a press conference on Tuesday.
