BAYERN MUNICH have been rocked after by bust-up between star striker Robert Lewandowski and chief executive and legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge ahead of their opening Champions League game in Celtic’s group.
The Polish striker is unhappy at Bayern’s refusal to splash out megabucks in transfer fees like PSG and Barcelona.
And he feared the German champions would get left behind in world football unless they shelved their financial prudence in the transfer market.
But that’s earned a sharp rebuke from Rummenigge, who has warned him to concentrate on football only, ahead of tonight’s opener against Anderlecht.
He said: “It would be a pity, if he actually saw it that way.
“Obviously, Robert was irritated by PSG’s transfers. He is employed with us as a football player and earns a lot of money. Whoever publicly criticises the club or his team-mates will get in trouble with me personally.”
