WITH several Celtic talents plying their trade away from Parkhead this season, we take a look at how they fared over the weekend.

Scottish Premiership

Ryan Christie (Aberdeen)

Christie had to settle for a place on the bench as the Dons welcomed Kilmarnock to Pittodrie.

Stevie May put the Reds in front, but the Celtic winger was brought on with half an hour to go after Jordan Jones equalised. However, he wasn’t able to get Aberdeen back in front as their run of 13 successive wins over Killie came to an end.

Scott Allan (Dundee)

Dundee finally got their first win of the season in a thrilling 3-2 Tayside Derby victory over St Johnstone, but Hoops midfielder Allan was dropped to the bench and failed to make an appearance.

Jamie Lindsay (Ross County)

After being dropped to the bench following a decent start to the season, there was no sign of Lindsay in the Staggies squad as they faced his parent club. The midfielder may have been relieved he was ineligible for the tie as the Highlanders went down 4-0 at Parkhead.

Scottish Championship

Joe Thomson (Livingston)

Thomson was again left out of Livingston’s squad for the 3-1 win away at Inverness. The result sees David Hopkin’s side stay put in sixth place, two points off a play-off spot.

Sam Wardrop (Dumbarton)

Dumbarton came back from behind to beat Brechin City 2-1 at home on Saturday, with Wardrop playing the full 90 minutes.

English League One

Nadir Ciftci (Plymouth Argyle)

Derek Adams’ side were held to a goalless draw against Bury over the weekend, with Ciftci starting and having a decent effort saved by the keeper.

It wasn’t to be for the Turkish striker though and he was substituted on the 68 minute mark.
