GORDON Produced an outstanding second-half save when he twisted acrobatically to fling himself at a Steven Whittaker shot and repel it. Had been called into action in the early stages when Stokes was upended by Forrest for an early free-kick. Little chance with either of John McGinn’s two cracking strikes. (8)

LUSTIG Slept when Efe Ambrose’s long, raking pass sent McGinn in behind him to give Hibs their second goal of the afternoon. (6)

BOYATA Showing no ill effects of his return from injury. The lynchpin in a back three and looks like being the first choice central defender this term. Showed his pace in the opening half when he had to get back. (7)

TIERNEY Trademark runs forward and had a hand in the opening goal when he supplied Dembele for the first of the afternoon. (7)

FORREST Booked for diving and then went down again a couple of minutes later without either a free-kick or reproach. Initial booking seemed harsh. (7)

NTCHAM Quiet afternoon for the French midfielder. For much of the second period found himself trying to get Celtic on top in the middle of the park as Hibs took control of the central pastures. (6)

ROGIC One audacious attempt with the outside of his boot just after Celtic had opened the scoring but was well marshalled by McGinn throughout. (6)

MCCGREGOR Fine afternoon for the midfielder who netted two goals and found himself back in the Scotland squad. Played well although will feel as though he should have done better with Hibs’ opening goal when he didn’t clear properly from the edge of the box. (8)

HAYES Difficult afternoon for the Republic of Ireland internationalist who hasn’t settled the way he would have hoped at Celtic following his move from Aberdeen. (6)

EDOUARD Started the game but was replaced by Scott Sinclair in the second period after a quiet opening half in which the game effectively seemed to pass him by. (5)

DEMBELE Held the ball up well as he teed up McGregor for the opener. Took the applause of the crowd for a cheeky nutmeg on Steven Whittaker. Replaced as the game went on. (7)

SINCLAIR Could have won Celtic a penalty in the closing minutes when he appeared to be yanked back by Efe Ambrose. Injected a bit of pace into the Parkhead side when he arrived at the break. (6)

GRIFFITHS Tried his luck with an acrobatic overhead kick following Sinclair’s obstruction in the box. Seemed to have been blocked by a Hibs hand while the striker also lashed a free-kick high over the bar. (5)

ROBERTS Tried to push Celtic forward and full of running and endeavour. By the time he arrived, however, Hibs were determined to take something from the game. (5)
