SCOTT Brown is set to make history tonight when he takes to the field for Celtic in their final Champions League group game against Anderlecht.

One more appearance in European football’s premier club competition will see the Hoops skipper leapfrog the legendary Kenny Dalglish and become the standalone record Scottish appearance holder in the competition and its predecessor the European Cup.

The full list includes a trio of Lisbon Lions, as well as three ex-Rangers players and Liverpool great Alan Hansen.

Stoke City midfielder Darren Fletcher is the only other player on the list who is still active, but his last Champions League appearance came for Manchester United in the 2013/14 season.
