I'm a massive fan of Moussa Dembele. I have been ever since he arrived at Celtic in the summer of 2016.

His goals last year were sensational and it was no surprise big clubs like Chelsea were being linked with a potential move for the Frenchman.

However, I have to be honest and say that his performance against Anderlecht on Tuesday night was as bad as I've seen from him in a green and white jersey.

Dembele is normally so strong in holding up the ball but he struggled in times. There was also a lack of energy to chase down the ball and put pressure on the Anderlecht defenders when it was needed. There was no pressing from the front, but he may well say there wasn't much support being provided behind him.

I'm not sure if he's not quite sharp after his knock earlier in the season, but given the goals and performances he has turned in for Celtic in the Champions League previously I was disappointed. Despite the result in Paris last month, I thought he was Celtic's brightest spark.

Regardless of all that, he's now been linked with a potential move to Brighton as interest still comes in for the 21-year-old, and I still firmly believe that he will eventually move on from Celtic Park for big money. Take his poor performance from Tuesday out of the equation, he's capable of anything on his day and he will get back to his best for Celtic.

Do I see him going in January? No. Right now I'm not sure Celtic would get the best price for him, and with the World Cup looming, Dembele could be doing with playing regular first-team football rather than attempting to break into a new team.

He may yet be a Europa League goal hero for Celtic.
