CELTIC have secured the signing of St Mirren midfielder Lewis Morgan on a four-and-a-half year deal.

The 21-year-old passed a medical in Glasgow on Thursday morning before finalising his move to the Scottish champions this afternoon.

He will return to the Paisley outfit on loan until the end of the season as the Buddies push for promotion from the Ladbrokes Championship.

"I'm delighted," he said. "With the manager and the players they have I felt that was the best place for me to develop further and I'm looking forward to the challenge.

"I knew where my future lay and I was at peace with it. It probably gives me that peace of mind from others asking me what was happening."

Morgan has been one of the stand-out performers in the second tier this season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 20 league games.
