CELTIC midfielder Liam Henderson is set to join Italian side Bari after impressing during his trial period.
The 21-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has made just one league apppearance for the champions this term, a 23-minute cameo from the bench against Dundee in October.
He joined the Serie B club on trial earlier this month and has impressed Bari coach Fabio Grosso, who scored the winning penalty in Italy's World Cup final win over France in 2006.
Henderson is now understood to be set to earn a deal to stay on the peninsula after featuring as a second half substitute during the 3-0 friendly win over Fidelis Andria on Saturday.
The Scotland Under-21 midfielder is a product of the Celtic youth system and has scored three goals in 37 first team appearances for the Hoops.
He also helped Hibernian to Scottish Cup glory during the 2015/16 season, when he supplied six goals and 16 assists for the Easter Road outfit in an impressive campaign.
Bari are currently among the teams fighting for promotion to Serie A as they occupy fourth place at the winter break, five points behind leaders Palermo.
