Scottish Cup holders Celtic have been handed a home tie against Partick Thistle in the fifth round of this year’s competition.
Following Hearts’ derby victory against Hibs, the Edinburgh side will face either Albion Rovers or St Johnstone at home while Rangers will face Ayr United away if they can defeat Highland League side Fraserburgh in their rearranged fourth round tie, which was called off due to weather conditions.
Aberdeen will host Dundee United while the surprise outfit of this year’s competition, Highland League side Brora Rangers, will travel to Kilmarnock to face the Premiership side.
There is the potential of an all Premiership clash but only if Dundee can first defeat Inverness Caledonian Thistle, with the winner visiting Fir Park to take on Motherwell.
Elsewhere, Greenock Morton will host either Peterhead or Dumbarton and the winner of Livingston will visit the winner of Fortmartine United against Cove Rangers.
Ties are scheduled for the weekend of the 10th and 11th of February.
