Kieran Tierney differs from many of the Celtic players at the minute.
It is not just that the full-back looks so comfortable when playing at the highest level but also because in his own mind playing for Celtic was always going to be the ultimate achievement for him.
Whereas there will always be players who come to the club looking to play well and get a move on the back of what they do here – and there is no issue with that – Tierney has Celtic tattooed on his chest.

He got there through the academy and is a boy for whom playing for Celtic was going to be the dream.
So while he is doing his stuff and attracting attention from elsewhere, the point is that he will never be in and knocking down anyone’s door demanding a move.
He is good enough to go and play in the English premier League or further afield should he wish. As his career progresses then you just never know what might arise for him but my point is that for the minute you can see quite clearly that he is not looking over his shoulder and wondering what else is out there.
The boy is a natural athlete. To be able to cover the ground that he does and play in that system underlines just how powerful he is. You see it defensively where he looks strong as an ox and you see it the way he bombs forward and gets really good balls into the box.
He is an outstanding young player who has come through the system and the beauty of it at the minute is that his heart and soul lies with the club.
James Forrest, like McGregor, has come through the system. Forrest has been exceptional this term. It is not just his hat-trick last week against Partick Thistle that underlined his goal threat this season but his overall play in general.
The key for me is confidence. He has that self-belief and it has been reflected in everything about his play this term.
