ZENIT ST PETERSBURG defender Emanuel Mammana has admitted they were blown away by Celtic and the Parkhead atmosphere.

But he’s warned the Hoops to expect a very different night in Russia.

Celtic take a precious 1-0 lead into the second leg of the Europa League last 32 tie on Thursday after Callum McGregor’s goal.

Zenit have been slaughtered in their homeland for their timid display and are under pressure to respond.

And Argentina internationalist defender Mammana has vowed to take control in the Baltic city this week, after preparing for the match in another training camp in Rome.

He said: “It was a very difficult match for us. There were several reasons for this – not least because of the pressure we were under in their stadium.

“Now we have to work hard in Rome and make up for our display this week.

“We have watched the video against Celtic. Right from the start of the game, we made mistakes and Celtic put us under pressure.”
