Tomorrow’s game for Celtic up at Pittodrie is absolutely massive for the Parkhead side.
To be fair, whenever this team have been called upon to bring a reaction into a game they have tended to rise to the occasion. They will need that again on Sunday.
I would imagine that Derek McInnes will fear a backlash too. There is the old wounded animal analogy and I do think that Celtic could and should be out with a point to prove.

In a domestic sense they have found it difficult to replicate the form of last term and sustain that but in some sense I think that maybe frames just how unique last season was.
In any case, I think there will be a couple of changes for the trip to Aberdeen. I don’t expect that the goalkeeper will be one of them.
There is a maybe a decision to be made there but if I was to gamble on the starting XI I would put my money on Dorus de Vries starting the game.
Part of that is maybe down to the fact that he was signed by the manager and I think he will want the player to show that he can come back from it.

In any case, whoever starts up at Pittodrie needs to have the will and desire to get the Russian result out of their system.
The focus now has to be on finishing the season as strongly as possible and aiming for a back-to-back Treble.
At the same time I think people do want to see the same kind of football that was on offer last season.
It is imperative now that they simply focus on each game as it comes and try to reproduce that level.
