CRAIG GORDON: Important save immediately after Celtic’s opening goal and made a decent save from Gerkins in second half. One of the quietest Champions League nights the big keeper will have ever had. 7

MIKAEL LUSTIG: Not as much as a threat going forward as Tierney on the other side, but defended stoutly when called upon and was usual steady and composed self. Cool as you like. 7

JOZO SIMUNOVIC: Hardly put a foot wrong in the heart of the defence and used the ball well when in possession too, always looking for a forward pass. 8

DEDRYCK BOYATA: Most composed presence for Celtic. Lovely pirouette showed his confidence on the ball and showed great anticipation all night. Had the cigars out on his return to his hometown. 9

KIERAN TIERNEY: Wonderful ball across the six-yard area to set up Griffiths for the opener and almost set up Roberts for another in the second half as a result of his incessant raids up the left flank. This boy might just have a chance, you know. 8

SCOTT BROWN: Helped Celtic control possession and came out on top of the battle with Trebel. Real concern when he hobbled off with around 20 minutes left after pulling up with his hand on his hamstring. 7

OLIVIER NTCHAM: Woeful passing in the opening half an hour until he pulled a peach of a ball out of nowhere to unlock the Anderlecht defence and send Tierney on his way for first goal. Found his composure after that. 7

PATRICK ROBERTS: Very quiet in the first half but was sharply on to Deschacht’s blunder to fire home Celtic’s crucial second goal via a deflection. Should have had another firing wide on the turn. 7

TOM ROGIC: Played a supporting role to Leigh Griffiths but was on the fringes of the game for the most part, although showed the odd flash of his quality here and there before being replaced by McGregor with 25 minutes to go. 6

SCOTT SINCLAIR: Wasn’t as involved as much as he would have liked, but always looked a danger, and proved it by coolly slotting home the third in injury time. 7

LEIGH GRIFFITHS: Isolated early on, but was deadly when it mattered to get onto Tierney’s centre and open the scoring. Ran himself into the ground. 7

SUBSTITUTES

CALLUM MCGREGOR: On for Rogic on 65 minutes and looked a threat, but hesitated when Griffiths put the ball on a plate for him. 4

NIR BITTON: On for Brown and almost made instant impact as he intercepted a stray pass and fired just wide. 3

JAMES FORREST: Got last quarter of an hour but didn’t make much impact. 2
