PSG head coach Unai Emery admits he is not paying any attention to rumours that world record signing Neymar is not happy in Paris - and insists the club are doing all they can to help the Brazilian settle.

Speculation arose during the international break that the 25-year-old told former Barcelona team-mates Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique that he regretted leaving the Nou Camp during the summer.

Neymar rejoined his club team-mates on the training pitch yesterday ahead of Saturday’s Ligue 1 visit of Nantes and Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Celtic at the Parc des Princes.

The Brazil internationalist tormented the Hoops in September’s opening Group B 5-0 thrashing, scoring one and setting up Kylian Mbappé, and Emery insists the £200 million recruit with remain with the French club.

He said: “When we took him it was with one precise goal, the club and the president want him to stay and he's going to stay here.

“All footballers are men before being footballers. I speak to Neymar, and it's that which is more important than rumours.

“Adapting is different for each player and more or less quick.

“We're doing everything to help him to adapt as well as possible, but the most important thing is the pitch and his performances there.

“It's the same for all players who change clubs. Adaptation is a process, it needs time.

“His teammates, staff and club must do everything to facilitate this process.

“All these rumours are not important. What matters is the discussions I have with him.

“We are very happy with him, he will triumph here.”
