GORDON: Difficult opening half with the sun directly in his line of vision but rarely troubled by Ross County in either half. Told Griffiths before the striker sunk his free-kick to get a shot in as he knew the difficulties his opposite number had with the sun (6)

LUSTIG: Back after his midweek exertions with Sweden and was serenaded by the Celtic support for the bulk of the game. (6)

BITTON: Headed one effort on the edge of the box into the path of Olivier Ntcham who almost doubled Celtic’s advantage in the late stages but other than that was singled out for praise for his defensive attributes by Brendan Rodgers again. (6)

BOYATA: Home fans appealed for a penalty as the game drew to a close for his use of a hand but seemed more a case of ball to hand than the other way around. (6)

TIERNEY: A relatively quiet performance to mark his 100th senior appearance for Celtic but took a moment to celebrate his landmark with the visiting support. (6)

FORREST: Replaced just after the hour mark by Jonny Hayes as Brendan Rodgers looked for a change of gears. (6)

MCGREGOR: Caught in the opening half by Christopher Routis and ought to have had a first-half penalty. Made little of the challenge but appeared to have his right foot kicked away as he went to take a shot with his left. (7)

BROWN: In amongst it in the middle of the park. Involved in a couple of meaty challenges and kept Celtic on top in the middle of the park. (7)

ARMSTRONG: Fouled in build-up to goal by Jim O’Brien. Lively and full of running but a frustrating afternoon for much of the day. Distribution at times let him down. (6)

SINCLAIR: Still looks as though he is toiling to find the form of last season. Couple of decent forways into the box but seems to be searching for the sharpness that was evident as he won the Player of the Year last term. (6)

DEMBELE: Couldn’t find the form that marked his midweek display for the French under-21 side and felt the wrath of Rodgers, particularly in the opening period when nothing seemed to stick to him. (6)

GRIFFITHS: Found the back of the net for the first time since Hampden with a free-kick. Arched his effort over the wall and into the back of the net for his 100th top flight league goal. Involved in a spat with former Celtic kid Michael Gardyne which might have been more problematic on another day. (7)

HAYES: A rare outing for the former Aberdeen winger who came off the bench to get involved in the final half hour. (5)

NTCHAM: Clipped the post shortly after his arrival when he capitalised on a Bitton knockdown. Might well have fancied himself for the free-kick after netting a fine strike himself for France last week. (6)
