ZENIT have been fined around £26,500 for damage and fan behaviour during their Europa League win away to Real Sociedad.

The Russian club face Celtic in the first leg of their last 32 clash at Parkhead on 15 February.

On Wednesday, UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body announced that the St Petersburg club must pay a fine of €30,000 and arrange to settle damages with Sociedad for damage caused by their supporters during the group stage fixture on 7 December.

Zenit were charged with acts of damages, setting off fireworks, throwing objects and a lack of order inside the stadium.

The visitors have filled their full allocation of 815 seats for the visit to Glasgow next month.

They will also be forced to host Celtic in the return leg in Russia on 22 February with a partial stadium closure after UEFA punished the club for displaying a banner praising Bosnian Serb military leader Ratko Mladic.
