ANTHONY Stokes is set to be sacked from his Greek club after going missing for over a week.
The former Hibs and Celtic striker signed for Athens outfit Apollon Smyrni earlier this year after being released by Easter Road boss Neil Lennon, who had finally ran out of patience with his off-field antics.
But his spell in Greece has failed to work out with him yet to score in his four games.

Last week, the Greeks revealed Stokes had failed to turn up for training and had offered no explanation for his absence. He’s now been AWOL for over a week and they want to rip up his contract.
An Apollon statement said: “The player is in clear breach of his contract. He has failed to even contact us during the period he has not turned up for training.
“As a consequence of this, we are looking if we can legally terminate his contract.”
It’s the latest controversy in Stokes’ career. He has been at the centre of headlines too for off-field incidents, culminating when he was ordered to pay £200,000 in damages last year to an Elvis Presley impersonator he assaulted in Dublin.
