CLYDE boss Jim Duffy is counting the cost of a spate of injuries that have decimated his side.

Duffy saw Gavin Brown come through a bounce game on Tuesday night as he continues his recovery from injury after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

But the Broadwood boss does not have his troubles to seek elsewhere, with a number of his players sidelined.

He said: "Gavin has been out for nearly three months and that is a long time in part-time football. He is not yet ready for the first team.

"Declan Gallagher will be out longer than we first hoped and is still a few weeks away at least.

"In the last few weeks we have tried to have some bounce games. The young boys on the fringes of things need games to give them a platform to push for a place.

"However, games can present problems too and Tuesday was an example of that.

"We sustained four injuries. Jason Marr and Dale Fulton are hopefully relatively minor injuries but Jack Sloss experienced a recurrence of problems with shin splints.

"More worryingly, I'm awaiting an update of Daniel Fitzpatrick's condition after he turned his knee awkwardly and was in considerable pain on the night."

Meanwhile, the SFL have confirmed a number of new fixture dates.

Elgin v Clyde, 28 February, 7.45pm; Ross County v Partick Thistle, 6 March, 7.45pm; Dumbarton v Cowdenbeath, 6 March, 7.30pm; Albion Rovers v Stenhousemuir, 6 March, 7.45pm.
