CLYDE have agreed a deal to remain at Broadwood for the next five years.
The Bully Wee had been in talks with Partick Thistle about a potential groundsharing arrangement at Firhill, but work started yesterday to install an artificial surface at their Cumbernauld home.
The move will see Jim Duffy's side share the stadium with Cumbernauld Colts Boys' Club, with the Bully Wee having use of the ground for at least 20 matches per season for five years.
The club have also agreed a deal to ground-share with Alloa should work on their plastic pitch not be completed in time for the new Irn-Bru Third Division campaign.
A Clyde statement read: "Following a long period of positive negotiation with the club's landlord, North Lanarkshire Leisure Trust, with the purpose to agree a new format and charging structure for the club's use of Broadwood, work has started today on the project to install an artificial surface with a view to it being ready in time for the first home league match of the season, due to be played at Broadwood on August 18.
"The early start is to be welcomed if it means that deadlines are met, however it was unexpected."
