Clyde are in talks with Thistle over a possible ground-sharing pact, it was claimed today

The Bully Wee are reported to have approached the Firhill club over the move after facing financial meltdown with North Lanarkshire Leisure over rents at Broadwood Stadium.

Clyde's financial director David Dishon said: "We held discussions with four senior clubs over a possible ground-share and the talks with Partick Thistle have been positive.

"Our position at Broadwood is unsustainable and we must now assess the options."

"If a ground-share is agreed, that would be an obvious solution.

"Our ideal scenario would be to stay at Broadwood, but if it makes financial sense to come to an agreement with Partick Thistle, so be it."

Meanwhile, Ryan Macbeth today hit out at former boss Jackie McNamara after terminating his Partick Thistle contract.

The midfielder requested his deal, which was due to expire at the end of the season, be ripped up on Monday as he ended his time at Firhill.

MacBeth was tipped for a bright future in the game, but reckons he was never going to feature while McNamara was in charge of the Jags.

He said: "I was unhappy with the game time I was getting. I felt as if I was going stale. I have been fit for about four months, but I just couldn't get into Jackie McNamara's plans.

"I don't think my face fitted when the manager came in. I was signed by Ian McCall. I think the best way forward for my career is for me to play elsewhere.

"I am disappointed he never gave me a chance and an opportunity to prove myself.

"I got a bad injury and that set me back for a while, but when I came back there was no reason why I didn't play.
