JAMES DAYTON hopes his wonder goal against St Mirren can kick-start his season.
The wide-man blasted home a stunning solo effort after skipping past three Saints players as Kenny Shields side ran out 3-1 winners at Rugby Park.
And Dayton smiled: "It was one of those goals that don't come around too often. I just set off on a bit of a mazy and it sat nicely for me to hit the shot.
"I hope that can give me some extra confidence and help cement a starting place.
"Even though we have a few guys out injured right now, there is still big competition for places so it's up to me to build on performances like the weekend and hopefully impress the manager enough to stay in the side."
