Cooke makes meal of Becks

MANCHESTER UNITED reject Terry Cooke outshone David Beckham as the LA Galaxy were hammered 4-0 by Colorado Rapids in Commerce City.

Cooke produced a goal and two assists to power the Rapids to a victory which wrecked the start of the England midfielder's first full season in Major League Soccer and also spoiled the LA coaching debut of Ruud Gullit.

Cooke, 31, made his MLS debut in 2005 after two years with Sheffield Wednesday, having emerged through the United youth system.
