RANGERS have their eyes on four more wins to lift the SPL title as the championship race goes into meltdown.

Motherwell were defeated 1-0 at Ibrox last night. Next up are Dundee United at home on Saturday, then away to the Steelmen again, St Mirren and finally Aberdeen.

Charlie Adam hopes he can help Rangers end the campaign on a high by lifting all three trophies they are pursuing.

The Gers midfielder has returned from injury at just the right time asRangers close in on the SPL, the Uefa Cup and the Scottish Cup, to add to their CIS Insurance Cup success.

Walter Smith's men kept the destiny of the SPL title within their own hands with a vital win at home to Motherwell. Three points on Saturday at home to Dundee United will be required for that to remain the case.

Then it's the biggest game of their careers next week in Manchester when they take on Zenit in the final of the Uefa Cup, and Queen of the South await Adam and Co. in the final of the Scottish Cup.

With the CIS League Cup already secured, Rangers are still on course to land the Quadruple, but Adam insists his team-mates must take it one game at a time if they are to be successful during the run-in.

He said: "It's a crucial period for us. The next fortnight holds the key to everything as we have a chance to secure three trophies.

"But we know it's going to be difficult to win them. We have four league games remaining and we've now got to look to win all of them to win the championship. It is in our own hands.

"Then there is the Uefa Cup and that's a huge one for us. You don't get many opportunities to be involved in a major European Final and everyone connected with the club is really looking forward to that one.

"And then there is the Scottish Cup. But I think when you are in a situation like that then you just have to really take one game at a time. It would be an unbelievable achievement if we could win everything but it's going to be extremely tough.

"As I said, you just need to give it your best shot in every game and see where it takes us."

Adam, who was originally expected to miss the remainder of the campaign with a knee injury, returned to the first team sooner than expected as a second-half substitute during last night's win over Motherwell.

"I thought my season was over as that was the way it appeared when I picked up the injury.

"But I've worked hard with the physios and it's great to be back playing and not missing out on such an important period for the team.

"Now there are four league games to go and we're still in a good position."
