GLASGOW'S Aileen McGlynn outlined her Beijing credentials by scooping two gold medals and as many world records at the Paralympic World Cup in Manchester.
The 34-year-old cyclist - who races for Johnson Wheelers - took the honours in the kilo tandem event in a new world best of 1.09.562 minutes.
Visually impaired McGlynn - who is piloted on her bike by Ellen Hunter - was not finished and blew away the field to clinch top spot in the 3km pursuit final in 3.36.752.
"It was a big test for me - you want to be able to see where you are in comparison to
others," said McGlynn.
"I wanted to go under one ten in the kilo and that's what I got."
McGlynn has now turned her attention to the Beijing Paralympics in September.
SPEEDWAY: Glasgow Tigers grabbed their first league points of the campaign with a hard-fought 51-42 win over Isle of Wight. And it was under-fire Scot Ross Brady who led the way with a top-scoring 16-point haul to grab his best score of the season by far.
Brady included FOUR stunning heat wins in his total, while guest, former Grand Prix superstar, Carl Stonehewer was beaten just once by an Islander.
Team boss Stewart Dickson said: "It was a big performance from the guys - everyone chipped in with points."
FORMULA ONE: Lewis Hamilton had to settle for second at the Turkish Grand Prix amid fears a tyre might blow on his McLaren car. Brazilian Felipe Massa made it a hat-trick of wins in Istanbul, but third-place Kimi Raikkonen still leads in the overall standings.
GOLF: Sergio Garcia won the Players Championship at Sawgrass in Florida, the biggest title in his career, beating American Paul Goydos in a play-off.
Janice Moodie was top Scot after a final round 68 as Annika Sorenstam won the ULTRA Open in Virginia, USA.
