MARK WILSON won't give up his dream of title glory at his old stomping ground as Celtic prepare for one final push at Tannadice.

Gordon Strachan's side are inactive until the final day of the season - Thursday, May 22 - and Wilson won't give up hope, even if Rangers go to Pittodrie needing only a win to get over the line.

Celtic's 2-0 win over Hibs has ensured a dramatic final night fight for the championship and, even if the Ibrox side win their games in hand over Motherwell and then St Mirren, Wilson is still confident of being part of what would be the biggest comeback in the history of the SPL so far.

"Rangers have the Uefa Cup Final on Wednesday night and, no disrespect to anyone else, but they might find it a bit of a comedown when they come back to playing at the weekend at Fir Park and then Love Street on Monday. We can't tell, but all we can do is look after ourselves and hope for the best," he said.

"But even if it comes to it that we're going to Tannadice needing a win and Rangers are going to Aberdeen for three points, you still just don't know. We have never given up hope that we could retain the title.

"The pressure was on us after Rangers had beaten United and we were equal to it. Now we have to sit and wait for the next 11 days and see just what they bring.

"A lot of people had written us off not so long ago, but we have had some massive results and we believe that there's every chance we might just need one more big one."

While Rangers have a frantic run-in between now and the final game of the season with the Uefa Cup Final and SPL games against Motherwell and St Mirren, Celtic have nothing.

It is an odd climax to the campaign but Wilson isn't complaining.

"It's just one of those things we have to get on with. One way to look at it is that we have the chance to have a bit of a breather, work on a few things and get everyone focused on one more big push.

"Anyone carrying knocks now has time to let them heal and we'll be giving everything to getting a result in Dundee.

"United won't make life easy for us and you could see with how well they played at Ibrox what they are capable of, so we will have to work for everything.

"Nothing is going to come easily and it's important we make sure we are good enough to get the win before worrying about anything else."

Wilson, though, would love to win the title against his former team.

"It would be nice to do it at Tannadice. I have so many nice memories from my time there and it would be a real thrill."
